Looking for a sexually charged, circuslike smorgasbord? Look no further than OneLegUpNYC, founded 11 years ago and boasting more than 40,000 people on the mailing list. Themes for past parties have included Black Magic, Human Circus, Barbarella and Eyes Wide Shut, with no shortage of entertainers (stilt walkers, jugglers, silk artists, contortionists, etc.). Founder Palagia says the club offers two types of parties: Eat-Ins for members-only, on-site petting; and Take-Outs, parties that let swingers meet and greet (topless if they like; body paint and pasties are available too) and then go elsewhere to play. The latter is open to the public. The events draw a mixed—from yuppie professionals to free-spirited artists—but discerning bag. "I don't want everyone attending," says Palagia. "It's a sensual country club: It's expensive, highly selective and fabulous."
